Symptoms

  • The patient can face chest pain, shortness of breath, loss of consciousness (fainting), dizziness, or light-headedness, which will show the patient requires Bentall procedure.
  • Patients with Marfan syndrome (a genetic disorder that affects the connective tissue in the body and weakens the aortic valve thickness) are likely to go through the Bentall procedure.
  • Patients suffering or suffered from aneurysm (widening of the aorta) may need this procedure.
  • Aortic regurgitation- when the heart’s aortic valve doesn’t close properly.
  • Aortic dissection- when the inner layer of the aorta tears.
