Hair Transplantation is a most common cosmetic surgery process which involves removal of hair follicles from any site in the body, like: face or legs and planting them on the hairless portion of head. This process is also used in transplanting hair in eyelashes and brows.
The two types of transplant procedures are: slit grafts and micro grafts.
Slit grafts contain 4 to 10 hairs per graft. Micro grafts contain 1 to 2 hairs per graft. It depends on the amount of coverage needed.
The latest technology used for hair transplantation is called FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), which is an advanced surgical hair restoration technique. This surgical technique does not leave any linear scar and does not require any stitches.
